| Core Values Statement New Beginnings Bible Fellowship Church is a family of believers who hold close to a set of values, or core beliefs, which identify who we are as a people of God and move us to serve Him in the ministry of His local church. WHAT WE BELIEVE: That "the glory of God", Who exists eternally as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, is the only appropriate motivation for every aspect of life in God's church -- worship, discipleship, and evangelism. (Ex. 20:3; Matt. 22:37; 1 Cor. 10:31) That the Word of God is the inspired, infallible, and final authority for all aspects of life in God's church. As a result, we seek to passionately, systematically, and expositionally teach the Word of God, as well as to obediently submit our lives to God's revealed Word. (2 Tim. 2:3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:21; James 1:22) That faith in Jesus Christ, which comes by the grace of God alone, results in eternal peace with God. Additionally, we believe that all who profess faith in Jesus Christ are called to actively participate in a local church through committing their time, talent, and resources for the furthering of God's church. (Eph. 2:8-9; Col. 3:12-17; 1 Pet. 2:9-10) That Christ-likeness is the aim of all who belong to God through faith in Jesus Christ. Because of this, and as the Spirit of God enables, we endeavor to become more like Jesus Christ through the practice of Christian disciplines such as Bible study, prayer, fasting, giving, worship, fellowship, service, and witnessing. (Rom.8:29; Eph. 5:1-2; Phil. 1:6; 1 Pet. 1:13-16; 2 Pet. 1:3-4) That God provides godly leaders, called elders, for His church. These leaders have responsibilities which include: spiritual care, oversight, and instruction, as well as the ministry of preparing the church for effective participation in the body of Christ. (Eph. 4:11-13; 1 Tim. 3:1-7; 1 Pet. 5:1-4) That building strong families and relationships with Jesus Christ as the central focus is a significant part of the ministry of God's church. As a result, we seek to nurture a family-friendly culture where unity, encouragement, and hospitality, among other qualities, may be faithfully expressed. (Rom. 12:10-18; Eph. 4:1-5, 32; 6:4) That God has called the church to passionately, persistently, and persuasively share the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ with all people. This calling compels the church to be actively involved both locally and globally in sharing the gospel through both word and deed.
